Stramberk Castle stands on the top of a rocky hill known as The Castle. It is not only a distinct feature of the picturesque town Stramberk, byt also a part of gate to Lachian Beskydy mountains. Originally the mighty Medieval castle is still remained by the massive inner fortification walls of the main castle and the reconstructed guard tower that is used as a tourist lookout. “Round” – as the tower is popularly called in this region, became a symbol of the castle, the city and the local scenic region.
