Below are some tips on where to travel in Zlin region each day.

6:00 p.m. – Arrival by train, bus or car to Zlin

Check-In at accommodation
Head to your chosen accommodation in Zlin to check-in and freshen up for the rest of the day. There are many hotels and guesthouses to choose from, catering to various preferences and budgets.

Day 1:

9:00 a.m. – Breakfast at the Zlin center

Zlin: Start your day in the center of Zlin, where history meets modern life. In the heart of the city, there are several cafes and bistros offering not only high-quality coffee but also plenty of good food to start your day.
Duration: 45 minutes

10:00 a.m. – Visit to Bata Institute

Bata Institute: This complex offers a deep dive into the history of the Bata company and its influence on the city of Zlin. The tour includes exhibits showing how Bata contributed to the development of industry and life in Zlin.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

11:45 a.m. – Lunch break

After the tour, it’s time for lunch and rest near the Bata Institute. You can enjoy traditional Czech dishes such as svickova (beef in creamy sauce) or roasted duck.

1:00 p.m. – Visit to Bata Skyscraper (Building 21)

Bata Skyscraper: Built in the 1930s, it was one of the tallest administrative buildings in Czechoslovakia at the time. The building is an icon of functionalist architecture, and the view from its 14th floor is stunning. You can observe the panoramas of the city of Zlin.

2:00 p.m. – Tour of the area around the Bata Skyscraper

Area tour: After visiting the Bata Skyscraper, take a tour around the surrounding area, which is both an architectural and natural legacy of Tomas Bata. If you love nature, you can visit Komensky Park.

3:00 p.m. – Visit to Tomas Bata Memorial

Tomas Bata Memorial: This memorial will introduce you to the life and legacy of this important entrepreneur and philanthropist. You will learn how his vision influenced not only Zlin but also the wider area of Czechoslovak economy.

4:00 p.m. – Afternoon relax in the Zlin city

Enjoy the city atmosphere with a cup of coffee and a slice of cake in a local cafe.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

6:00 p.m. – Enjoy dinner at local restaurants.

7:00 p.m. – Explore the beauty of the evening city and relax.

Day 2:

9:30 a.m. – Departure from accommodation / Journey to Zlin Zoo – Lesna

After waking up and having breakfast, head from your accommodation toward Zlin Zoo. The zoo is located outside the city center but is easily accessible by car or public transport.
Duration: 20 minutes

10:00 a.m. – Zlin Zoo – Lesna

One of the most beautiful zoos in the Czech Republic. It is divided by continents – Africa, Asia, and America. You’ll see lions, giraffes, elephants, penguins, and stingrays. The entire area is pleasant for walking and offers many opportunities for photography and relaxation.
Duration: 2 hours

12:30 p.m. – Lunch in the Zoo area

There are several food options directly within the zoo grounds – including restaurants and snack bars. The menu features traditional Czech dishes as well as lighter meals. It’s an ideal spot for a lunch break with a view of nature.
Duration: 1 hour

1:30 p.m. – Lesna Chateau

After lunch, visit the historic Lesna Chateau, located directly in the zoo grounds. The chateau offers beautiful interiors with original furnishings, wooden paneling, and rich decorations. The guided tour takes about 45 minutes and is included in the zoo admission.
Duration: 1 hour

2:30 p.m. – Afternoon walk in the Zoo or souvenir shopping

After the chateau visit, there’s still time to explore the remaining part of the zoo, buy some souvenirs, or enjoy a coffee or ice cream. There are rest zones and benches throughout the area, allowing you to relax and enjoy the day until departure.

3:30 p.m. – Return to Zlín city center / Free time

After visiting the zoo and chateau, return to Zlín city center. If you still have time, you can stroll through the town, grab a coffee, or just enjoy a relaxing walk.

5:00 p.m. – Travel to Uherske Hradiste

Moving to hotel in Uherske Hradiste.
Duration: 45 minutes

6:00 p.m. – Enjoy dinner at local restaurants

7:00 p.m. – Explore the beauty of the evening city and relax.

Day 3:

9:30 a.m. – Visit to the Slovacko Museum

One of the museum’s highlights is its extensive collection of traditional folk costumes, showcasing the vibrant and diverse heritage of the Slovacko region.
Duration: 2 hours

11:30 a.m. – Traditional Czech lunch in the Uherske Hradiste city center.

Duration: 1 hour

1:00 p.m. – Way to Buchlov Castle by bus or car.

Duration: 1 hour

2:00 p.m. – Tour of the Buchlov Castle

Buchlov Castle is not only known for its stunning views of the surrounding countryside, but also for its mysterious mummy, a rare Egyptian artifact housed in its small museum.
Duration: 2 hours

4:30 p.m. – Return to Uherske Hradiste by bus or car.

6:30 p.m. – Enjoy a dinner at one of the many excellent local restaurants in the city center.

7:30 p.m. – Move to accommodation in Luhacovice.

Day 4:

9:00 a.m. – Colonnade walk

A walk along the colonnade is a great way to start the day. You can enjoy views of the famous mineral springs and relax in the fresh air.

10:00 a.m. – Tasting Vincentka mineral water

Vincentka is famous for its healing properties and is used for drinking therapy.

10:30 a.m. – Buying Spa Wafers in a local shop

Luhacovice is famous for its wafers, which are worth tasting and make a great souvenir from the trip.

12:00 p.m. – Lunch at a restaurant in Luhacovice

Opportunity to try traditional Czech dishes, such as pork ribs, roast duck with dumplings, or local soups.

1:30 p.m. – Afternoon SPA and Wellness treatments

Wellness centers offer sauna complexes, massages, mineral baths, and aromatherapy.

4:30 p.m. – Evening walk and relaxation
