DAY 1


2:00 p.m. – Arrival in Hradec Kralove by train, bus or car

  • And check-in at accommodation just 100 meters from the city center, allowing easy access to all major landmarks

3:00 p.m. – Walk through the historical center of Hradec Kralove.

  • At Velke namesti (Main Square), you will see the White Tower, the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, the former Town Hall with Renaissance elements, and the Marian Plague Column.
  • Duration: 45 minutes

3:45 p.m. – Visit the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary

  • One of the city’s oldest sacred buildings, just steps from the square.
  • Duration: 15 minutes

4:00 p.m. – Coffee break at a charming cafe in the center with homemade desserts and quality coffee.

  • Duration: 45 minutes

4:45 p.m. – Continue to Male namesti (Little Square) to view the Baroque fountain with a statue of St. John of Nepomuk.

  •  Duration: 20 minutes

5:05 p.m. – Walk through Zizkovy sady (Zizka Park), about 500 meters away, with a fountain and the Church of St. John of Nepomuk in a green setting.

  •  Duration: 40 minutes

5:45 p.m. – Visit the Museum of Eastern Bohemia, in a beautiful Art Nouveau building by Jan Kotera.

  • Duration: 1 hour

6:45 p.m. – Dinner in the city center with choices of regional and Czech cuisine.

  • Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

8:15 p.m. – Return to accommodation through the calm, lit streets of Hradec Kralove.

 

DAY 2 – Visit to Safari Park Dvur Kralove


Safari Park Dvur Kralove is one of the largest and most famous zoological gardens in the Czech Republic.
The park specializes in African wildlife and offers visitors extraordinary experiences through guided walking tours or safari-style tours in specially adapted cars. These rides allow close observation of the animals in enclosures that closely replicate their natural habitat.

8:00 a.m. – Breakfast at your hotel accommodation

9:30 a.m.  – Departure from hotel after breakfast

  • Travel to Dvůr Králové nad Labem using public transportation.
  • The journey takes around 1 hour

10:45 a.m.Arrival at the ZOO

  • Purchase of tickets

11:00 a.m.Africa truck ride in Safari Park Dvůr Králové

  • It takes about 50 minutes and is complemented by an expert commentary by the guide.
  •  This tour takes you to both Josef Wagner’s African Safari and Lion Safari, where you can observe the animals in their natural habitat.
  • The animals move freely in large enclosures, which adds to the authenticity of the experience.
  • The guide provides commentary about each species and conservation projects during the ride.
  • Animals that can be seen in Josef Wagner’s African Safari :Giraffes, Zebras (including several species), White rhinos, Antelopes (e.g. kudu, pronghorn, waterbuck, horse antelope), Wildebeest, Ostriches, Cape buffalo.
  • Animals in the lion part of the safari – Berber lions – a rare subspecies now extinct in the wild.

12: 15 a.m. – Lunch in one of the restaurants in the ZOO area

  • There are several restaurants and refreshment stands in the Safari Park where visitors can enjoy traditional Czech cuisine as well as specialties inspired by African flavours. All options for eating are clearly marked on the map of the area.

1:30 p.m. – Walking Tour of the pavilions and expositions

  • The Safari Park offers several themed pavilions and exhibitions that allow visitors to discover the diversity of African fauna:
  • The Beast Pavilion: Here you can observe lions, leopards and other carnivores in an environment reminiscent of their natural habitats.
  •  Gorilla Pavilion: Home to lowland gorillas, where you can learn more about their life and conservation.
  • Hippo and okapi pavilion: A unique exhibit dedicated to these rare African species.
  • Meerkats and Insects Pavilion: An interactive exhibit where you can observe meerkats and learn about the world of insects.
  • Passing bird aviaries

4:00 p.m. – Coffe break

  • After exploring the park in the afternoon, visitors can enjoy a cup of coffee and a sweet treat at one of the cafés or refreshment stands located throughout the zoo.

4:45 p.m. – Cultural and educational activities in the zoo

  • Zdenek Burian Gallery: An exhibition of paintings by the famous prehistoric illustrator, offering a unique insight into the evolution of life on Earth.
  • Skeleton Museum: An exhibition focused on animal anatomy and skeletal structures.

6:45 p.m. – Return to the city

  • Transfer from the zoo back to the centre of Hradec Králové using public transport

7:30 p.m. – End of the day with dinner in the city centre

  • The day concludes with a relaxing dinner at one of the restaurants in the centre of Hradec Králové, offering both local and international cuisine.
  • Duration: approximately 2 hours.

DAY 3 – Bohemian Paradise: Hiking Trail Hruba Skala – Mysi dira – Valdstejn


8:00 a.m. – Breakfast at your accommodation
9:00 a.m. – Departure to Hrubá Skála by private transfer or taxi

  • Approximate travel time: 1 hour

10:00 a.m. – Arrival at Hruba Skala Chateau

  • Admire the romantic château and enjoy panoramic views of the sandstone rock town.
  • Duration: 30 minutes

10:30 a.m. – Begin hike towards Mouse Hole

  • A unique narrow rock passage with stairs leading through a dramatic cliff formation.
  • Duration: 30 minutes

11:00 a.m. – Continue to Marian Viewpoint

  • Famous viewpoint offering iconic views of the Trosky Castle ruins in the distance.
  • Duration: 20 minutes

11:20 a.m. – Hike through peaceful forest trails to U Lvicka viewpoint

  • A quiet rest area with benches and serene surroundings.
  • Duration: 40 minutes

12:00 p.m. – Arrival at Valdstejn Castle

  • Explore one of the oldest castles in Bohemian Paradise. Optional guided tour.
  • Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

1:30 p.m. – Lunch at the local cafe or nearby local restaurant

  • Traditional Czech cuisine and regional specialties.
  • Duration: 1 hour

2:30 p.m. – Optional extension of hike via Sedmihorky

  • Return to starting point by same route or complete the loop.

4:30 p.m. – Return to Hradec Kralove by Bus

  • Duration: approx. 1 hour

7:00 p.m. – Dinner in Hradec Kralove city center

  • Choose from local favorites or try a cozy restaurant near the old town.
  • Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

9:30 p.m. – Return to accommodation

DAY 4 – Krkonose Mountains: Trip to Snezka


7:30 a.m. – Early breakfast at our accommodation

8:30 a.m. – Departure to Hradec Kralove main bus station

8:57 a.m. – Bus to Pec pod Snezkou

10:15 a.m. – Begin ascent from Pec pod Snezkou
Choose between hiking or taking the Sněžka Cable Car via Pink Mountain

11:00 a.m. – Reach the summit of Snezka

  • The highest mountain in the Czech Republic – enjoy breathtaking views.
  • Time at the top for photos, rest, and refreshments.
  • Duration: 45 minutes

11:45 a.m. – Hike down via Lucni bouda (mountain lodge with mini-brewery)

  • Optional lunch or beer tasting stop.
  • Duration: 1 hour

12:45 p.m. – Continue to Pramen Elbe Spring, symbolic source of the Elbe River

  • Duration: 1 hour

1:45 p.m. – Begin descent back to Pec pod Snezkou

  • Route options include Ruzohorky or Giant Valley
  • Duration: approx. 2 hours

4:30 p.m. – Bus departure from Pec pod Snezkou

6:00 p.m. – Dinner in Hradec Kralove city center

  • Ideal to relax after a day in the mountains.
  • Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

7:30 p.m. – Return to accommodation
Recommendations:

  • Wear proper hiking gear and layers
  • Snezka is accessible via cable car for less experienced hikers
  • Check cable car operation in advance (weather dependent)
  • Bring water, snacks, and sun protection

DAY 5 – Kuks and Les Kralovstvi Dam


9:00 a.m.  – Departure from your accommodation to the Baroque complex in Kuks, either by rental car, taxi, or arranged transport.

  • approximately 30 minutes.

9:30–11:30 a.m.  – Visit to the Kuks Hospital, a unique Baroque complex featuring the Church of the Holy Trinity, a historical pharmacy, and the iconic statues of Virtues and Vices by Matthias Bernard Braun.

  • After the tour, enjoy a short walk (approx. 6,500 ft) along Braun’s Sculpture Trail in Nature, which offers beautiful views of the Elbe River Valley and combines history with nature.

11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. – After the morning visit, you can enjoy lunch at one of the charming local restaurants or relax with a coffee at a peaceful cafe overlooking the surrounding countryside.

1:00 p.m. – Short drive (approx. 15 minutes) to the Les Kralovstvi Dam, known for its fairy-tale architecture and picturesque surroundings.

1:30–3:30 p.m. – Leisurely walk around the dam and along the educational trail in the nearby forest. The area features benches and peaceful spots, perfect for relaxing or light exploring.

3:30–6:30 p.m. – On the way back, you can stop in the village of Zirec, where you’ll find a gallery and craft workshopsoffering handmade goods and natural products for sale.

7:00 p.m. – End your day with dinner by the river in a quiet setting with home-style cuisine. Alternatively, return to Hradec Kralove and dine at a local restaurant of your choice.
