It is easy to prepare! Especially, when unexpected visitors come or when you have a large crop of vegetables. It is more appropriate for dinner but it’s acceptable for lunch, too. It is usually served with rye bread. Czech people like it a lot.
2 chopped onions
2 tsp oil for frying
1 large chopped smoked sausage
5 chopped green, yellow (or both) bell peppers
6 peeled and chopped tomatoes
4 cups hot water
salt to taste
3 beaten eggs
Use a kettle that has a lid and fry the onions in the oil until golden brown, add the sausage and fry. Then add chopped green and or yellow peppers cover and cook until the peppers are tender. Add hot water and the tomatoes. Cover and cook for 10 to 15 min. Salt it to taste then stir in the eggs. Cover and cook about 5-10 min. Serve hot with rye bread.
