1 cup beans
3 cups potatoes
5 Tbs lard mixed
2 Tbs chopped bacon topping
1 onion, chopped
salt to taste
Soak the beans in water overnight. The next day, cook the beans – in the soaking water – until tender. Drain. Cook the potatoes, unpeeled, until tender. Peel and chop the potatoes. Heat the lard with chopped bacon topping in a pot over medium heat and sauté the onion.
Season with salt and mix all the ingredients together. You can use fresh parsley as a garnish and serve immediately.
