Tomato salad with onion is one of the most popular salads eaten in the Czech Republic. This dish is very suitable for eating in the summer when we have fresh tomatoes. It is a light and refreshing salad. And it is a perfect side dish for roasted or grilled meat. The instructions are very easy to follow.
Salad
4 big firm tomatoes
4 middle-sized onions
Dressing
2 Tbs vinegar
2 Tbs olive oil
2 Tbs water
salt, ground black pepper, and sugar to taste
In a bowl add the thinly sliced tomatoes and the thinly sliced onions. For the dressing use a small bowl and mix the vinegar, olive oil, water, salt, pepper and sugar, sample the dressing and if necessary add more sugar or salt before pouring it over the salad.
