Horseradish is a significant part of the Czech gastronomy, a nation that used to be the horseradish capital at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries and where this plant still is very popular. Since the 17th century, Malin now part of town of Kutna Hora in Central Bohemia has been best known for growing this crop; its local production is well known as “Horseradish from Malin” (Malinsky kren).
