BEER MEAT

Czech name: Pivní maso

A typical recipe from North Bohemia.

Ingredients

meat
1 bottle of any beer
1 Tbs bread crumbs
1 tsp crushed or ground caraway seeds (grind in an electric coffee grinder)
salt to taste

Instructions

Cube the meat and add it to a pot, along with salt, caraway seeds, bread crumbs, and beer. Stir well, cover the pot, and simmer at a medium heat until the meat is tender. Serve with mashed potatoes and fried onions.
