The Hurka Hill

Slavic fortress Hurka is located near the town of Stary Plzenec. It was an Early-Romanesque Premyslid Castle. From the original fortified settlement there is only the Pre-Romanesque St. Peter and Paul’s Rotunda left, dated back to the 10th century.

Pilsen City Hall

Right on the Square of the Republic there is the Renaissance City Hall. It was built according to the plans of an Italian builder Giovanni de Statia in years 1554-1559. Its building is decorated with sgraffito showing the city emblem and Czech rulers. In the back room behind a lobby there is a 1:200 scale model of the historical Pilsen centre.
